It’s been almost one year since Jacob arrived at TCM. It has been wonderful to see God move in his young life. Jacob is a sweet boy who has come a long way, especially in school. He works very hard and feels good about himself and his greatly improved grades.
Jacob is somewhat of a melancholy young man who is both artistic and creative. He enjoys drawing, painting and music. He is also a kind-hearted and freely offers compliments and makes it a point to find the good in others. Basketball ranks at the top of Jacob’s hobbies, but he also enjoys baseball and bike riding.
Although it isn’t easy for these children to live without their natural families, we do everything in our power to love the children as our own. Doctor Dobson says, “You can build boys or mend men.” Unfortunately, most of the children we receive come very broken, but God helps us to mend their broken hearts and to give them a wonderfully bright future.
If you would like to make a difference in Jacob’s life, you can sponsor him by becoming a Mansion Kid Sponsor.
We are thankful for our Mansion Kid Sponsors, who are the lifeblood of Tupelo Children’s Mansion. Without our sponsors, we would not be able to care for the children that God has entrusted to us. Sponsorship dollars help provide for the children’s clothing, food, shelter, special educational needs, medical needs, parental support (through our loving residential mentors) and personal care.
