Tupelo Children’s Mansion is now honored to be an official partner with #GivingTuesday, which is a national day of giving at the start of the holiday season.
The 2nd annual #GivingTuesday will be held on Dec. 3rd, 2013. In the same way that retail stores take part in Black Friday, TCM is joining with other non-profits in harnessing the power of social media to celebrate the great American spirit of contribution. Other partners include The Salvation Army, Charity: water, Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America, the United Way, and DoSomething.org.
92nd Street Y, NYC’s nonprofit cultural and community center, conceptualized the idea. They implemented the first #GivingTuesday on November 27, 2012, with support from the United Nations Foundation, Facebook, Groupon, Unilever, JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft, JCPenney, Discover, SONY, Groupon, and others.
On #GivingTuesday, Dec. 3, we hope that you will consider making a donation to Tupelo Children’s Mansion, one of the oldest and most beloved children’s homes in North America. Your support will help us continue to care for children who are abused, neglected, abandoned, homeless or orphaned. Our hope is that every child will have the opportunity to grow up in a safe, loving and stable family.
Give to TCM with confidence. Our 60-year-old charitable organization is a member of the Coalition of Residential Education (CORE), the Alliance for Children and Families, and is endorsed by numerous church organizations, governmental officials and business leaders.
