Unexpected Blessings

The Mansion was blessed last week with significant donations from Woodmen of America and the Louisiana Ladies Ministries UPCI.

05-02-09-ADennis Moffett, District Manager of Woodmen of America, and Terry Perish, Agent, stopped by our offices to present two checks to us, one in the amount of $5,000 to TCM and another in the amount of $2,500 (designated for Haven of Hope Girls’ Home).

Modern Woodmen of America was founded in 1883 with the sole purpose to benefit members and non-members in the community. Since its inception, millions of dollars have been given in matching funds.

Dennis Moffett stated, “We appreciate all the good things that you do for the children and families you serve. We consider it an honor as well as a privilege to help such a fine organization that helps children in their time of need.”

This money was raised by having a BBQ dinner fundraiser as well as donations received from individuals and area churches and was matched, dollar for dollar, by Modern Woodmen of America.

05-02-09-BBut wait…there’s more!

Delisa Cox, Ladies Ministries President of the Louisiana District UPCI, sent a check in the amount of $10,000 from a special offering that was received at the recent ladies conference. Delisa is also the wife of the Chairman of our Board, Kevin Cox.

We sincerely appreciate these generous donations. God provides the support that is needed to operate TCM, sometimes from unexpected resources.
