Autumn is my favorite time of the year. It’s a time of transformation.
According to Merriam-Webster, the word transform means, “to change (something) completely and usually in a good way.”
Here in Tupelo, the leaves have been transformed from a lively, fresh green to a bright sunny orange and a blazing, fiery red. The trees are absolutely beautiful.
Just as we watch the changes that transpire with each season, we at the Tupelo Children’s Mansion see beautiful and colorful changes transpire in the broken lives of our TCM children.
Some transformations are more difficult than others because some children had had to endure more trauma in their lives.
We have learned that there is no substitution for tender love and nurture. It is also through constant care and protection that these children all find a hope that they thought was lost and that makes all of the work worth the effort.
Your support of the Mansion is appreciated. Thanksgiving will soon be here, but we are thankful for you not only this month, but all year round. Your giving helps us continue to see beautiful changes in each child’s life.
